VitalGlucane

Ingredients in the VitalGlucane range are obtained by the selective abrasion of barley grains to separate the layer that is highest in beta-glucans.

The Soufflet Group has selected and isolated barley varieties specifically high in Beta-glucans.
 
The flour obtained thus has heightened water absorption power.

Beta-glucans are the only soluble fibres allowing the following claim (in France) to be made: “regular consumption of beta-glucans contributes to maintaining normal blood cholesterol levels”. The quantity of beta-glucans that must be incorporated is 3 g/day (in France) (sources: FDA 2005, EFSA 2009).
